The Fluid Power Systems & Technology Division (FPST) of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and University of Bath Centre for Power Transmission and Motion Control (PTMC) announced the dates and location for their annual ASME/Bath Symposium of Fluid Power and Motion Control (FPMC). The conference and accompanying exhibition will be held Oct. 7 through 9 at the Lido Beach Resort, Sarasota, Fla.
The FPST and PTMC invite papers on the following topics:
- drives, transmissions, and actuators;
- components and systems;
- efficient and intelligent systems;
- modeling and simulation;
- control;
- smart fluids and materials;
- fault analysis and diagnosis;
- noise and vibration;
- system design; and
- digital and switched fluid power systems.
FPMC is held in the U.S. and at the University of Bath, UK on alternating years. It is intended to be of interest and value to practitioners and researchers in the fluid power, power transmission, and motion control community and will include technical presentations and a keynote speech given by the 2019 recipient of the Robert E. Koski Medal. The FPST Division of ASME was founded to advance the design and analysis of fluid power components, such as hydraulic and pneumatic actuators, pumps, motors, and modulating components, in various systems and applications.
