It has been a busy summer for Ohio Transmission Corp., but here’s a summary of why you should care:
First, this Columbus, Ohio-based equipment, component, and service provider and distributor acquired Furey Filter & Pump and its subsidiary, PSI Engineering. These two companies had 65 employees in Wisconsin and Minnesota who now expand Ohio Transmission’s skilled workforce to nearly 1,000. With this acquisition, OTC now has 37 locations throughout the South, Southeast, Midwest, and Northeast, along with 18 service shops.
Second, OTC acquired Tennessee-based IDG Compressor, with locations in the Tennessee cities of Chattanooga, Knoxville, and Nashville and remote operations in parts of Kentucky and Georgia. IDG is a full-service distributor of Quincy Compressor products and repair services. It will become a division of Air Technologies, a compressed air system equipment and service provider that is part of OTC’s family of companies.
Finally, OTC acquired Charlotte, N. C.-based Pumps, Parts and Service Inc., an industrial pump and repair company serving the Southeast. The addition of the PP&S team to OTC is expected to not only expand the company’s capabilities for its customers but provide new career opportunities for its associates.
