Bauma last week and I just thought it was too cool not to share. Caterpillar Inc. now offers its own cell phone through Bullitt Mobile Ltd. with the
Cat B15 rugged cell phone, designed with Caterpillar users in mind (and what hydraulic system designer or user wouldn't want this tough device? I'm not even a huge fan of smart phones but I'd love to play with one!). It is currently available in Europe, with a U.S. launch later this year.
The Cat B15 can withstand a 1.8 m drop and can be submerged in up to 1 m of water for 30 minutes. Its 4-in. multi-touch screen can be used with wet fingers, and the phone is dustproof and scratch resistant.
