Orbital X hydraulic motors replace the current OMP, OMR, DS, and DH motor models with two modular platforms that replace six existing options to easily integrate with OEM’s existing machinery and replace current motors with time-saving installation. The flexible modular designs with a finish that meets the corrosion class C3 standard.
One platform for the Orbital X motors has offset and end ports, while the other has aligned ports. The Orbital X platforms are adaptable within their housing, displacement, and shaft modules to meet requirements for a variety of application needs. They are commonly implemented in sweepers and scrubbers, harvesters, mowers, forklift trucks, and other light- to medium-duty machines.
They have up to 15% higher torque capacity than current OMP or OPR motors, and up to 45% more than DH and DS motors. They improve bearing capacity by 20% over DH and DS motors, with a shaft-seal lifetime improved by 50% thanks to a new O-ring for protection against impurities.
Danfoss also released a line of Orbital X tools that OEMs can use to simplify the process of integrating an Orbital X motor. These tools include a product configurator that estimates motor lifetime, and a product-conversion tool that aids in conversion from the existing motor to the new one.
