Domin P Series Servo Proportional Valves Provide Repeatable Control in Compact Package
Domin Ltd has launched the P Series servo proportional valves which are designed to deliver fast, stable, and repeatable control in a compact, lightweight design suited for use in various industrial systems. The first two models available in the series are the P6 Pro and P10 Pro.
According to the company, industrial proportional valve technology has traditionally been bulky, slow to respond to commands and difficult to integrate as machinery has become more compact while also requiring higher levels of performance.
Domin developed the P Series valves to overcome these industry challenges. The company explained to Power & Motion that the valves’ ability to provide fast, stable and repeatable control is because they share some of the same core technology found in Domin’s S Series range of hydraulic valves.
The company said it used the architecture from its higher performance servo valves — including high-strength steel manifolds, modern high-performance motors and class-leading electronics and controls — and adapted it for the needs of the wider servo proportional market. Doing so resulted in creating valves offering high levels of speed, reliability and control in a compact package.
The result is that the P Series provides the speed, reliability and control Domin is known for, in a compact and far more accessible product that outperforms traditional proportional valves currently in industrial applications.
Features of the P Series servo proportional valves include:
- response times and flow performance comparable with other servo proportional valves on the market
- straightforward configuration to ease installation and use, including as a replacement of legacy components
- robust design capable of withstanding use in various industrial applications
- P6 Pro provides rapid response and fine control resolution desired in applications such as injection molding equipment, ceramics presses, and automated handling systems
- P10 Pro is engineered for higher flow and demanding industrial loads to support applications such as heavy-duty presses, energy systems, and large-scale industrial automation
Both valves will be supported by Domin’s Lead Time Zero initiative which aims to provide faster delivery to customers and overcome the lead time challenges that face the fluid power and other markets.
