Custom-made hydraulic reservoirs feature several advantages over their off-the-shelf counterparts. These telehandlers, for example, have a reservoir made to a shape that matches the contemporary design of the rest of the machine. Corrosionresistant materials can also be used to maintain hydraulic system cleanliness.
The IFH Group pioneered the use of aluminized steel — a blend of mild sheet steel hot-dip coated on both sides with an aluminum-silicon alloy— to eliminate the contamination problems inherent to uncoated steels. Aluminized steel combines the corrosion resistance of aluminum with the structural strength (and lower cost) of steel. The tanks are resistant to virtually all petroleum-based and synthetic fluids while providing protection from atmospheric corrosion.
Hydraulic reservoirs are built to the needs of the application — everything from a simple two-part tank strap to reservoirs with more than 60 different parts, including level indicators, sight gauges, fittings, filters, strainers, filler-breathers, and any other components required.
Custom-made hydraulic reservoirs have an advantage over off-the-shelf tanks because custom-built units can be designed to fit the exact space and technical requirements necessary for compact design and optimal performance of the end product.
“We provide hydraulic reservoirs and fuel tanks that are installation-ready when they arrive at their dock,” said Jim King Jr., president of The IFH Group. “Our state-of-the-art manufacturing and inventory control systems enable customers to obtain the best product possible and reduce their time and inventory to minimize cost.”
The IFH Group provides on-site design and assembly assistance, as well as standardization of the materials and components required in customer’s reservoirs and tanks to maintain a broad inventory at The IFH Group’s factory, ready for immediate build, quick assembly and fast delivery.
