A 50-year-old aluminum extrusion press is given new life through a major upgrade project replacing its hydraulic power unit, electrical controls, prefill valve, transducers and piping.
An aluminum extrusion manufacturer’s 8-inch press, in continuous operation since 1971, had become unreliable and inefficient, regularly requiring costly repairs that resulted in lost production time. The press underwent a major upgrade project in 2023 that replaced many of its worn-out legacy components with high-quality, modern technology, resulting in dramatically improved performance and reduced downtime.
