Spectronic Corp. announces the acquisition of precision machine and job shop, H&I Manufacturing Inc. As a new division of Spectronics, H&I machinery and personnel have been relocated to the parent company’s 100,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Westbury, New York.
In the partnership, the companies hope to combine their strengths and implement new changes toward further development. Spectronics will use H&I’s existing machinery to boost its research and development efforts while purchasing other machinery to streamline the output, quality, and dependability of its existing products. H&I’s machine shop will continue to serve the aerospace, defense, automotive, medical, and electronics industries, further developing its services with Spectronics’ ISO 9001:2008 quality-management certification and AS9100 aerospace certification.
H&I specialize in CNC milling, turning and honing, and sheet-metal fabrication. The company works with titanium, 17-4 PH, 15-5 PH, and 440C stainless steel, and many other ferrous and non-ferrous materials, including plastics. The company also has experience with outside vendors preforming heat treatments, magnetic particle inspection, penetrant inspection, anodization and passivation, and other processes.
