Tompkins Industries to Distribute ContiTech Parts

July 26, 2016
The agreement will enable both Continental and Tompkins to expand their distribution channels in North America.

Tompkins Industries, a wholesaler of hydraulic adapters and fluid-power products, entered an agreement with Continental to distribute ContiTech hydraulic products. Based in Olathe, Kansas, Tompkins has 14 locations throughout North America.  It holds an extensive presence in the aftermarket, and is heavily involved in the agriculture original-equipment (OE) field.  The company provides industrial hoses and assemblies, along with a variety of hydraulic adapters and fluid-power products.

Ryan Gocher, Continental NAFTA’s hydraulics sales and marketing manager says, “We are extremely pleased with the partnership and anticipate a smooth transition in the changeover process.”

The agreement will enable both Continental and Tompkins to expand their distribution channels in North America. Gocher adds, “The agreement really serves as a statement to the importance and strategic value that the hydraulic hose market has to Continental.”

Both Tompkins and Continental anticipate that the changeover will be completed by the end of August. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
