Flat, Non-Contact Position Sensor

A new non-contact position sensor is suitable for limited-space applications such as crane outriggers and other mobile or industrial machines.

PCFP25 absolute, non-contact position sensor offers measurement ranges from 100 mm to 5.750 m. The sensor system consists of a magnetostrictive waveguide and a moveable magnet. This device is 8 mm thick, making it suitable for limited-space applications such as crane outriggers and other mobile or industrial machines. It resists dirt, moisture, dust, and shocks up to 50 G (rated IP67). Analog and digital outputs are available. The sensor achieves linearity to ±0.02% full scale. The sensor can be mounted in a redundant design for safety applications.
