Proportional Isolation Valves

Clippard debuts its Eclipse proportional isolation valves.
Jan. 17, 2020

Introducing what company officials call “the industry’s most robust and powerful miniature linear actuator,” Clippard has released its Eclipse proportional isolation valves. The patent-pending, stepper-controlled proportional valve “will lead the industry in performance and durability,” company officials said in a press release.

The Eclipse is primarily targeted for critical applications for liquid and gas delivery, medical, analytical, and industrial automation where ultra-fine resolution and repeatability are required. The unique design of the Eclipse also allows for custom flow profiles.

The patent-pending ceramic sliding seal design is liquid- and air-capable with a flow resolution of 0.19 ml/min water and 0.007 l/min air max at 30 psig. The design provides for leak-free performance (<0.05 sccm) and high levels of linearity (<4% of full-scale) and repeatability (<0.5% of full travel) in a highly customizable form.
