Webtecâs 4 Series digital hydraulic multimeters allow quick and easy system analysis and diagnostics and communicate with Bluetooth devices for distributing reports over wireless networks.
Webtec now offers its DHM 404 and 804 digital hydraulic multimeters that use Bluetooth Smart (v4.0) to communicate with mobile phones and tablets running iOS and Android operating systems. The portable instrument produces electronic reports that can be emailed to recipients. It records and saves up to 12 sets of data points to its internal memory. All models are powered by a standard 9-V battery that normally provides more than six months of testing time.
Versatile operation
The portable instrument has four screens that can be toggled by a panel button. The initial screen shows to display digital flow, pressure, peak pressure, temperature, and power with an update time of 0.7 sec. A second screen shows the same parameters, plus bar graphs. A third screen also displays volumetric efficiency as a percentage of the set point recorded on command. A fourth screen reviews data of all logged points. Recorded data can be retrieved from the meter with a Bluetooth-enabled device running the Webtec’s App.
Four models accommodate maximum flows from 10 to 800 lpm (2.5 to 210 gpm), pressure to 480 bar (7,000 psi). It contains an integral loading valve to provide safe, progressive pressure loading in either flow direction. It also features internal bypass protection to protect from overpressure situations, and it handles flow independent of direction. Hydraulic power and volumetric efficiency are automatically calculated.
Flow accuracy is ±1% of indicated reading (15 to 100% of range); pressure readings are accurate to within ±0.5% full scale. Temperature readings are accurate to within ±1°C (± 2°F); volumetric efficiency is accurate to ±1%; and power calculations feature tolerance of ±3 kW (±4 hp) for readings below 100 kW (134 hp) and 5 kW (6.7 hp) for readings exceeding 100 kW.
