iVT Expo 2024 is set to once again bring together the latest technological developments for the off-highway vehicle industry. The event is geared toward those who develop construction, agricultural, forestry and other off-highway machines.
It exhibition space to see new technologies first hand as well as conference sessions to help engineers learn about the latest design trends.
Taking place August 21-22 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL, the event will feature over 130 exhibitors showcasing a range of components and services including:
- hydraulics
- materials
- powertrains
- testing technology and more.
Conference Sessions Highlight Key Industry Trends
The conference portion of iVT Expo will offer presentations from over 40 speakers covering some of the biggest trends impacting the off-highway vehicle space such as electrification and digitalization.
Each day will kick off with plenary sessions which look at some of the key trends and innovations influencing the industry. Two sessions of particular interest for those in the fluid power space are scheduled for Thursday, August 22. In the first, Adam Livesay of Elevāt will present on collection and use of hydraulic data to achieve machine performance enhancements.
He will then participate in a panel discussion, presented by the National Fluid Power Association (NFPA), on the digital transformation taking place in the fluid power industry. Chris Harwood of Elevāt and Paul Ludwig of HED are also scheduled to participate in the discussion.
The remainder of the conference sessions are divided into two tracks, with each day of the event dedicated to a specific track:
- Electrification & Alternate Power Sources - August 21
- Autonomous, Cab Design and Evolving Digital Interface - August 22

NFPA to Shine Light on Hydraulics
New for the 2024 event is a partnership with NFPA which will present a 2-day advanced hydraulics conference in tandem with iVT Expo. Hydraulics are key to the functionality of many off-highway machines and continue to evolve to meet a range of OEM requirements.
On August 21, conference sessions will be focused on topics related to the improved design and control of hydraulics in electrified equipment, improved hydraulic performance through data utilization and functional safety requirements for hydraulic systems.
Sessions held on August 22 will related to increased hydraulic efficiency for longer duty cycles, and improved thermal management of electrified vehicle systems. There will also be two more presentations this day on the topic of improved design and control of hydraulics on electrified off-highway vehicles.
All session details can be found on iVT's website.
