NFPA Accepting Proposals for Hydraulics Conference at iVT Expo 2025
The National Fluid Power Association (NFPA) is currently accepting presentation proposals for its hydraulics technology conference set to be held in conjunction with iVT Expo USA 2025.
In 2024, NFPA formed a partnership with the iVT Expo — an annual exposition for the off-highway vehicle design and engineering community — to host a 2-day conference on advanced hydraulics. Doing so helps provide show attendees an opportunity to learn about the latest hydraulic system developments which will aid their machine designs as hydraulics remain an important part of many construction equipment and other off-highway mobile machinery.
Learn more about the technologies and trends influencing hydraulic system developments for mobile machinery applications in the below articles.
NFPA is in the planning stages for its 2-day conference that will once again run in parallel with iVT Expo, taking place August 20-21, 2025.
The association is encouraging members and others from the fluid power industry to submit proposals for presentations that can be part of the conference. Various topics will be considered, but NFPA says it will give special consideration for those addressing the following topic areas:
- Hydraulic system designs, architectures, and products optimized for performance on off-highway vehicles with electrified powertrains.
- Thermal management strategies for hydraulically-actuated, electrified off-highway vehicles.
- Improvements in hydraulic system efficiency, especially those that help to increase battery life on electrified off-highway vehicles.
- Strategies for reducing the volume and harshness of hydraulic noise on electrified off-highway vehicles.
- Hydraulic data collection and utilization strategies that provide system or machine-level performance improvements.
- Hydraulic systems that operate in partial or fully autonomous modes.
- Cutting-edge research innovations that may change the use or application of fluid power technologies.
Those interested in submitting proposals can contact NFPA president and CEO Eric Lanke by February 28, 2025. Proposals should include the proposed title, presenter with 100-word bio, and 100-word abstract of presentation.
