Aventics, formally Rexroth Pneumatics, opened the doors to its Lexington, Ky., manufacturing facility in 1964 and celebrated its 50th anniversary with an open house for associates, their families, retirees, and distributors. The events included plant tours, a presentation regarding the company’s history, product demonstrations, factory floor presentations, and more. Additionally, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held to commemorate the restart of producing NFPA pneumatic and hydraulic steel cylinders at the Lexington facility.

Aventics has only been operating as a standalone company since the beginning of 2014, but its roots date back to 1869 as part of Westinghouse Air Brake.  The company is now one of the leading manufacturers of pneumatic components and systems.
